Managed service providers face significant challenges in developing effective security strategies due to having to manage multiple small customers and a broad array of products.
MSP need a streamlined approach to address the operational and billing difficulties associated with having to handle a plethora of vendors and security tools, according to Anjana Kumbampati, Cisco’s director of growth and strategy. Kumbampati said Cisco aims to alleviate these issues for MSPs by streamlining transactional processes and integrating products to provide a unified security platform.
“MSPs are pretty unique when you think about their security challenges, especially because they end up managing tons of customers and tons of devices,” Kumbampati said. “MSPs have to deal with the same problem ten or 20 times, because they’re handling multiple small customers and multiple deployments.”
