Most organizations currently piece together four to five different vendor solutions to achieve true passwordless authentication, but Nelson said RSA’s phishing-resistant token works across devices, operating systems and environments. Posture management helps organizations identify weaknesses before attackers can exploit them, and complement strategies like passwordless authentication to create layered defense (see: Cyber Resilience Demands Rethinking Risk, Identity, AI Trust).
“How do we solve it for every user, every device, every time?” Nelson asked. “Passwordless is a hybrid solution. You can’t just do it for Windows. You gotta do it for Windows and Mac. The only way I believe you can stop phishing-resistant attacks that are happening out there is to move toward that full passwordless journey, which RSA is uniquely qualified to help our clients move toward.”
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Nelson also discussed:
- RSA’s position to lead the enterprise workforce passwordless market;
- Securing governments, critical infrastructure and highly sensitive orgs;
- RSA’s emphasis on innovation-led roadmaps after independence from Dell.
Nelson is a seasoned SaaS executive and brings more than 25 years of software, data, technology and private equity experience to his role.
