Event to Feature Innovation Sandbox 20-Year Anniversary, DARPA, Hacking Sessions
RSAC Conference brings together thousands of cybersecurity professionals with one goal: finding innovative ways to defend enterprises. This year for the event’s annual Innovation Sandbox, the stakes couldn’t be bigger. This year, leading-edge projects will receive $5 million in investment funding from Crosspoint Capital Partners.

Under the theme “Many Voices, One Community,” this year’s RSAC event – scheduled April 28 to May 1 in San Francisco – will mark the 20th anniversary of the Innovation Sandbox, a place for startups to demonstrate emerging tools and approaches to cyberdefense.
“The top 10 finalists are going to be receiving founder friendly financing to help them further accelerate innovation,” said Linda Gray Martin, chief of staff and senior vice president at RSAC Conference. “So, it’s a massive year for this contest.”
The conference will also include capture-the-flag contests and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s AI Cyber Challenge exhibit, which includes an immersive journey on train through live simulations that transport attendees to a fictional city secured by AI.
RSAC offers 29 separate tracks including mainstay sessions such as the Cryptographers Panel, and this year organizers are bringing back Security Foundations. “This will be a great place for someone to go for a foundational understanding of generative AI. Or I want a foundational understanding of identity or AppSec,” said Britta Glade, senior vice president of content and communities at RSAC Conference.
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Martin and Glade discussed:
- Recent updates to the branding and format of RSAC Conference;
- Major sessions, learning and networking opportunities;
- Notable guest speakers including actor and director Ron Howard, NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson and award-winning actor, singer and comedian Jamie Foxx.
