Capitol Meridian Partners’ Razi on Smarter AI Use, Strong Leadership and Diversity
Artificial intelligence is reshaping cybersecurity faster than predicted, transforming enterprise operations and reducing labor shortages. But many AI models prioritize speed over security, exposing organizations to significant risks. Niloofar Razi, operating partner at Capitol Meridian Partners, stressed the need for companies to evaluate models carefully before adoption.

“The opportunities with respect to AI are transformative, which is why everyone’s embracing it. Deployment is happening faster than anyone expected,” Razi said. AI boosts productivity and eliminates toil, but she warned that unchecked deployment could lead to serious risks. She compared the evolution of AI models to the Frankenstein story: “Once it’s let loose and comes alive, it doesn’t always listen to its creator.”
Razi called for the need for more women entrepreneurs in cybersecurity, urging early-stage founders to compete in future Innovation Sandbox competitions at RSAC.
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSAC Conference 2025, Razi also discussed:
- Risks of private sector offensive cyber activities;
- AI’s dual impact on enterprise workflows, security and workforce transformation;
- Effective leadership strategies for navigating global uncertainty.
Razi is a technology executive with a track record of transformation and growth leadership, driving results for organizations facing major market disruptions as board member and as part of the leadership team. She is also a cybersecurity and national security strategist, thought leader, and public speaker.
