He said Barracuda’s platform-centric approach is uniquely positioned to address the critical needs of resource-constrained organizations through simplicity, modularity, intelligence and integration. Barracuda is using artificial intelligence not just in products but internally to scale operations, with Ghai highlighting the newly launched Barracuda Assistant as a generative AI-based customer interaction tool (see: Cyber Resilience Demands Rethinking Risk, Identity, AI Trust).
“They barely have an IT organization,” he said. “A lot of times, they like to work with MSPs and partners, and outsource a lot of their security. They want a human-powered platform that is enhanced by AI. We have threat intelligence agents that wake up every day and think about the unique threat surface. They want the modularity to be able to get on that platformization journey, but one step at a time.”
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Ghai also discussed:
- Needs around ease of use, modularity, intelligence and platform consolidation;
- Why AI is an operational imperative for resource-constrained organizations;
- Barracuda’s use of product-led growth via in-console trials and procurement.
Ghai brings more than 20 years of leadership experience at software and SaaS organizations specializing in cybersecurity and information management. Before joining Barracuda, he was CEO of RSA Security, where he led the transformation of the company. Rohit is a recognized cybersecurity expert and a trusted advisor to global enterprises on digital identity, data privacy, AI security and risk management.
