Coding agents have become the newest enterprise perimeter, replacing earlier security boundaries such as networks, identities, cloud environments and browsers, said Apiiro CEO Idan Plotnik.

Widespread enterprise deployment of coding agents represents the fastest technology adoption Plotnik has witnessed in more than 25 years in cybersecurity, introducing more vulnerabilities into enterprise environments. He said CISOs and CIOs have made securing agentic software development a top strategic priority, driving the industry’s transition from security posture management toward automated action (see: Startup Apiiro Raises $100M to Secure Software Supply Chain).

“Now it’s the coding agent that is the new parameter, and it introduces 10x more risk in every environment that we monitor, while the offensive agents also discover and exploit these existing vulnerabilities 20x faster,” Plotnik said. “The Apiiro evolution went from posture to action, from application security posture management to the Guardian Agent that actually takes action.”
