CEO Says Process-Level Controls Offer Deeper Visibility Than Network-Only Policies
Zero Networks’ artificial intelligence segmentation tool automatically discovers AI agents, identifies their communications and allows administrators to restrict their permissions, said co-founder and CEO Benny Lakunishok.

Rather than only controlling network communications between systems, organizations can now apply segmentation to individual applications and processes, providing visibility and finer-grained security controls. Since most OT devices can’t run endpoint software and lack standardized operating systems, segmentation must be implemented through network switches rather than the devices themselves (see: Zero Networks Lands $55M Series C to Drive Zero Trust Growth).
“That containment-driven mindset is something that is needed,” Lakunishok said. “You can’t outrun AI, but you need to out-architect it. And if you are completely micro-segmented, lateral movement can’t happen.”

Lakunishok was part of the leadership team of Aorato, a disruptive detection platform acquired by Microsoft. He led the product team in Microsoft responsible for the Aorato technology, and the team that integrated Microsoft’s acquisition of Hexadite into the portfolio. Prior to Aorato, he was a senior premier field engineer at Microsoft and a member of the security team of an elite intelligence unit within the Israel Defense Forces.
