The company’s threat detection and response offering integrates with Microsoft and CrowdStrike and enables rapid anomaly detection across SAP, Salesforce and their proprietary content and supply chain platforms, said OpenText EVP Muhi Majzoub. Tools like identity management and data tokenization are foundational to protecting PII and other sensitive information on content platforms (see: OpenText Boosts MDR Offering for MSPs With Pillr Acquisition).
“One of the biggest threats is people that put their data in the public cloud,” Majzoub said. “Their data could be leveraged and used by some of these Gen AI models for bad. We are trying to protect our customers and partners from those type of attacks. We’re also trying to protect and secure our OpenText platforms and our networks and data centers and our employees and their identities.”
In this video interview with Information Security Media Group, Majzoub also discussed:
- Adding security to content, communication, supply chain tools;
- Concerns over misuse of data uploaded to public AI platforms;
- Bets around facial recognition, advanced behavioral analytics;
For 12 years, Majzoub drove and delivered the vision and strategy for OpenText products and their transition to the cloud. He now focuses on accelerating the company’s security products and services. Prior to OpenText, Majzoub was responsible for defining NorthgateArinso’s product vision and strategy. Before that, he developed CA’s common technology platform and components and integration strategy.
